Irene Carser Obituary
Mrs. Carser came to Harwich Port in 2001 from her longtime home in Bloomington, Minn., where she raised her three daughters following the untimely death of her husband, Samuel, in 1959.
Irene was a renowned school lunch cook and manager for the Bloomington school system for 25 years. She particularly enjoyed being with the school children and thus loved her work. Irene treasured Minnesota and enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her many friends there.
Survivors include her daughters, Colleen Flanagan of Mount Holly, N.J., Maureen Carser of South Yarmouth, Sharon Carser of Washington, D.C., each of their spouses and her beloved grandson, Justin, of San Diego, Calif.
Mrs. Carser will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery next to her husband. Services are private.
Donations in her memory may be made to The Duffy Health Center, 105 Park St., Hyannis, MA 02601, or to the Noah Shelter, 77 Winter St., Hyannis, MA 02601.
