Colleen P. Aldrich

EAST DENNIS — Colleen P. (Hickey) Aldrich, 77, of East Dennis, died Monday, July 7, 2008, at Cape Cod Hospital.

She was the wife of Frederick J. "Fred" Aldrich Sr.

Mrs. Aldrich was born in Uxbridge, on June 24, 1931, the daughter of the late James and Gladys (Richardson) Hickey, and was a resident of Uxbridge prior to moving to East Dennis 35 years ago. She was a graduate of Uxbridge High School, class of 1949.

Mr. and Mrs. Aldrich observed their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 19, 2007, and her children and grandchildren were her love.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Frederick J. Aldrich Jr., and his wife, Paula, of Uxbridge; two daughters, Kim A. and her husband, Stephen Hawkins, of Tampa, Fla., and Judith V. and her husband, Seth Updegraff, of East Dennis; a sister, Carol Restivo, of North Providence, R.I.; five grandchildren, Stephen Hawkins, Corey Hawkins, Frederick Aldrich III, James Aldrich and Patrick Aldrich; two godchildren, Linda (Restivo) Newman and Michael Kelliher; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 10, 2008, at 9 a.m., from the Buma Funeral Home, 101 N. Main St., (Route 122), Uxbridge, MA 01569, followed by a Mass of the Resurrection, at 11 a.m., in St. Mary's Church, 71 Mendon St., Uxbridge. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Uxbridge. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home prior to the funeral Mass.
