George Klase Obituary

MASHPEE — George A. Klase, 85, of Mashpee, formerly of Ashland for 32 years, died at Falmouth Hospital on July 23, 2008.

He was the son of the late Frank and Mildred (Martin) Klase; husband of Eleanor (Frado) Klase of Mashpee; father of Kevin Klase of Bethlehem, Maine, and Judith Bishop of Indiana.

George was born in Portland, Maine. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Marine Corps. He lived on Cape Cod for the past 19 years. He loved to write poetry and play the harmonica.

Visiting hours will be in the John-Lawrence Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Road (Route 28), Marstons Mills, on Sunday, July 27, from 4 to 6 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel at Christ the King Church, Mashpee Commons, Mashpee, on Monday, July 28, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 11:30 a.m.
