Sarah Allman Obituary

HYANNIS — Sarah Catherine Allman, 83, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, died peacefully surrounded by family on July 29, 2008.

Born in Nashville, Tenn., on April 5, 1925, Mrs. Allman was the daughter of the late James and Ivie Drennon. She was also the sister of the late Edith Alverson of Nashville.

Mrs. Allman is survived by two children, Marcene G. Griffin and her husband, Rory P. Griffin, of Centerville, and David A. Allman and his wife, Michelle M. Allman, of Hyannis. She was the loving grandmother of Kara V. Griffin and Montana R.K. Allman.

Memorial service and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hyannis Fire and Rescue, 95 High School Road Ext., Hyannis, MA 02601.

Sarah, You will DEEPLY be missed!!!!! Thank you for giving me the pleasure of your wonderful smile and trimming your beautiful gray hair every six weeks at my salon. You are a joy to all who knew you and will be in my prayers....
My deepest sympathy to all of the family. She was a wonderful woman who made me laugh.

Sarah, Sarah, Sarah.....It's already not the same around here without you. I always admired how you spoke what was on your mind no matter what! I miss you but am glad I knew you. Thank you for all that you taught me. Marcene, David & family my deepest sympathy for your loss.
