Marion Broadbent Obituary

FALMOUTH — Marion E. (Shannon) Broadbent, of Falmouth, formerly of Norwood, died Aug. 6, 2008.

Marion enjoyed reading and gardening, and loved animals. She volunteered at Norwood Hospital and was the secretary to the president of Sansone Motors in Norwood for 30 years.

She was the beloved wife of the late William Douglas; dear mother of Douglas Arthur and his wife, Ann, of West Fairlee, Vt., and Barbara and her husband, Bob Feeley, of Falmouth; dear sister of Barbara Gould of Red Bank, N.J.; loving grandmother of Kimberly White, Stacy Seace and Galina Feeley, and great-grandmother of Hunter and Trevor Seace, and Cassandra and Zachary White. She was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral today at 11 a.m. at the May Funeral Home, 85 Nichols St., Norwood. Interment is in Highland Cemetery, Norwood. Visitation, with the family, will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the funeral.

Donations in her memory to the Friends of Falmouth Dogs, P.O. Box 438, Falmouth, MA 02540 would be appreciated.

Dear Barbara and family,
I was saddened to hear that Marion passed away. She was such a sweet and gentle soul, so kind to everyone she met. My deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother, mother-in-law and grandmother.
