Dorothy was the best neighbor anyone could ask for! She lived next door to us for all the years we lived on Darnell Road. She was there whenever you needed her. It was like having a sister next door. We will never forget Dorothy; all the wonderful times we had together with the families and friends. We remember fondly our Saturday night card parties with Aunt Janice & Uncle Paul, Ginny and Tag, Dot and Don, and Bob and I. We all drank High balls in those days.....My kids always remember the leftover potatoe chips and clam dip. We ususally played cards until 2:00 in the morning. Oh what fun we had! Dorothy, we'll never forget those days and most of all you.
We love you all, Bob & Elaine Giles

Dear Paula, Donna, & Jodi,
My heart sank when I saw Paula's e-mail while I was at work. I thought to myself, "Oh no". I have so many fond memories of your mom. She lived next door to us and was like a second mother to me. I remember whenever I was sick, she would come over and bring toys for me to keep me occupied. Bless her heart...She would lug over the huge box of "furniture" complete with blocks and doll house furniture and Lincoln Logs. She would bring me peg boards, coloring books, whatever I wanted. She was like an angel to me. I'll never forget the bologna sandwich ordeal. I hated bologna and she gave me a bologna sandwich with mayonaise. When I finally finished it, she offered me a second one. So afraid I would offend her by saying no thanks, I sheepishly said, "okay", and had to down another one. She was the BEST!!! We laughed about that one for years. I also remember being over your house and watching Neil Armstrong taking his first steps on the moon. Dorothy made sure we had the right channel on and paid attention to that great moment in history.
She was kind, sweet, honest and I'll miss her. We have so many fond memories of her. We'll never forget you Dorothy and we love you all.
