Nellie Agey

HYANNIS — Nellie Agey, 90, died on Aug. 12, 2008, at Bayberry House. She was born and resided most of her life in Lynn. Her high school education was received at Lynn Classical High School. Following graduation, she went to work for General Electric Co. in Lynn where she spent her entire 40 year career.

At the age of 35, she married her beloved husband of 55 years, Theodore. Nellie was an active member of the Russian Orthodox Church in Lynn, where she organized many church dinners and functions.

Nellie and her husband moved to Cape Cod in 1982. She enjoyed being an active member of the Centerville Recreational Club for many years. Her interests included crafts and canning vegetables from her garden.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Helen Coombs, and her husband, Frank, of West Barnstable, as well as two grandchildren, Kristen and Jocelyn Coombs, also of West Barnstable. She also leaves a nephew, Vladimir Travnik, and his wife, Nadja, of Plymouth, and their children, Victoria and Mark.

Visiting hours and a funeral service will be held from 10 a.m - 12 p.m., on Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, at the Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 West Main St., Hyannis, MA 02601.

Internment will follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn at 4 p.m.
