Richard Tucker Obituary

MASHPEE — Richard H. Tucker, 70, of Mashpee and formerly of Maynard, died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008, at Falmouth Hospital.

Born in Concord, he was the son of the late Howard and Helen (Tobin) Tucker, and husband of Lorraine (Miller) Tucker.

Mr. Tucker served in the Navy. He served on the Maynard Police force for 30 years, retiring as a detective.

In addition to his wife, he leaves three children, Traci Quin of Townsend, Douglas Tucker of Maynard and Steven Tucker of Phillipston; a sister, Joanne McConnell, of Torrington, Conn.; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 23, from 1 to 4 p.m., at the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord St., Maynard. Burial will be private.

Contributions in his memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes, Research Foundation, 120 Wall St., 19th Floor, New York, NY 10005.
