I've had the opportunity to work with Ray on several projects, most recently we provided talent for the CVS shoot that he worked so hard on. I was shocked and saddened by the news of his passing. He was always upbeat, a true professional and a really nice guy.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and coworkers at Addventures.

I just wanted to pass on my condolences to everyone who was touched by Ray. He was not only a client but a real friend who I really enjoyed work with and for--a real pro who was dedicated to his craft and his family and friends. I just returned from a 10 day vacation that I was going to cancel so I could attend the wake and funeral. But thanks to everyone who convinced me to go, knowing Ray would have wanted me to. I spent many sleepless nights thinking of him over the last 2 weeks and will continue to use his joy of life, family and work to guide me the rest of mine. Ray we'll miss you forever!

Diana, Z and Dylan...

Words cannot express how deeply sorry I am. Ray always knew how to put people at ease with is quick wit and practical jokes. May times, he was the one who knew just what to say to make me smile. I know he had that affect on many. I'll never forget the "5:01 Club" or the sharing of dog/kid pictures.

I hope you find peace from the many memories you have. He will be deeply missed. Stay strong! Our thoughts are with you and your family!

I am so sorry for your loss.I'm not sure if you remember me,but I'm the person that sold you your house and my son-in-law's parents live next door. It seem like only yesterday that you were pregnant with Zach. You've been through so much in such a short time, but you a very strong person and you will get through this too. May God bless you and the boys.

Diana and Family,
I will never forget Ray's ability to put everyone around him at ease and making the seemingly impossible seem simple. He taught me much during my early days, but most importantly he taught me to keep it simple from the tech world and from life in general. "Follow the signal flow....." he would say. I hope the Bruins finally crush the Habs for him this year too. A true friend who would do anything for you....and I'm so happy for you, Zach and Dylan that Ray found what I knew he always wanted...true love and a family.

Ray was a terrific man. Family functions were always alot more fun with Ray around. One of my favorite memories of Ray was the total joy on his face as he ran around celebrating the Giants Super Bowl win. While it drove us Pats fans crazy, the pure passion for his team was the same that you could clearly see he felt for his work, his home, and especially his family. The pride he felt for Diana, Dylan and Zack could be seen by all. Hopefully his sudden passing will remind everyone he knew to appreciate the time we all have together.

Diana,
Today you had to do something that no young bride should have to do:bury your spouse. Although your grief and anguish was apparent on your face, you carried yourself with strength and dignity as you accomplished your task: with Zach standing courageously at your side, you sent your husband off on his journey with a celebration of his life that he would be proud of. He is smiling down on you with love and appreciation. That smile you will see when you look into Dylan's eyes.
We will miss his kind and generous nature, but our lives are fuller for having had him in our lives.
All our love and support for you and your children.

I didn't know Ray very long but I would see him every morning while dropping Dylan off, and although he was only there a few minutes he somehow put a smile on everyones face. He will be deeply missed, and if there is anything I can do just ask.

I, too, had worked as a performer with Ray on a recent video production. His demeanor was always one of patience and nurturing. The crew loved him and his ability to direct on-camera talent was remarkable. He certainly left this world a better place for those whose lives he touched.

Ray has been our Son-in-Law for only three years. In this time we have grown to love him dearly. He was a wonderful father and stepfather. His kindness, quiet sense of humor, and strength of character made us proud to have him as part of our family. Our hearts ache at the loss.

This message is sent with our deepest sympathies. Over the past 10 years, we have had many chance "run-ins" with Ray and no matter what time of the day or day of the week, we were always greeted with his engaging smile and outgoing personality. His dedication and excitement were always evident. His happiness was contagious. The early morning/late night crossings will truly be missed.

I've had the pleasure over the past few years of working with Ray on several projects... and I could always count on him for two things: his talented professionalism, and his ability to make me laugh. To say that Ray's passing is a shock is to make one of the great understatements of all time. I will miss Ray as a colleague... and more importantly, I will miss Ray as a friend.

I extend my condolences to both Ray's immediate family and to his extended family at addventures.

When Ray shook your hand you felt his honesty. When he smiled you knew his friendship. When our families joined you felt honored. Whenever I hear his name my heart will weep but my face shall have a loving smile.

To us, Ray was one of those people you did not see often but would definitely call a friend. He was easy going, good hearted, kind and talented. The last time we saw him, oddly enough, was walking in the woods with Cheryl, the kids and the dogs. We had not seen him in quite a while but it felt as if no time had passed at all. That is how easy it was to be friends with Ray. To his wife Diana, Cheryl and all his family and friends, our deepest, deepest condolences. Ray was a great person and to know he has passed brings us such sadness. May peace be with your family and all that knew and loved him.

I have had the privelage of knowing Ray on a personal level, as well as a professional level. He was someone with great passion and always had that infectious smile and laugh whenever we would speak or meet!

In these difficult times please know how saddened I am for your entire family, and that I will think of Ray often with the "big smile".

Marla Rubenstein

August 27, 2008

My name is Marla - you don't know me, but I'm one of the actresses who was working with Ray on the CVS video he was in the middle of producing when he passed away. I was so shocked and saddened by the news, and wanted to share a memory with you. It was an overnight shoot, and very exhausting because most of us had not slept in a long time. I walked in and immediately Ray greeted me with a friendly smile, recognized me as the 'single mom' I was playing in the video, and made me feel relaxed. In this particular scene, I had 3 lines to deliver. Ray overheard me practicing with another actress. He helped me understand that although I might be a happy, perky person, the 'single mom' wasn't so happy when she approached the CVS pharmacy counter at first, but left happy after realizing how easy it was to pick up her 'prescription.' Ray helped me learn that character development needed to occur over the course of just those 3 lines. It was a simple, but valuable lesson for me to be reminded about. By 430am, now going on close to 48 hours without sleep, I said :"Ray, you won't have to worry anymore about me seeming too perky!" we got a good laugh. I only knew Ray for a few hours, but he will leave his mark on me, and seemed like a wonderful, warm person. In the Jewish tradition they say, that a person has truly died only when their memory dies, so as long as you all share stories and memories with each other, Ray can live forever in your hearts.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to Ray's family, his wife and children.

His passing is a shock and saddens anyone who knew him.

Ray was a mentor to me at the beginning of my career. I couldn't have asked for a more upbeat, energenic and encouraging boss.
I always admired his optimistic outlook on life and his positive spin on even the most challenging circumstances.

I am so grateful for having the opportunity to know him and learn from him.

I hope his children know how many people their Dad touched and what a great guy he has always been!
He will be remembered - and missed -by many.

May God Bless Ray and his loved ones.

Dear Diana,
We are so sorry for your loss. Ray was a good man and I don’t know why it was in God’s plans to take him way before his time, but you can be certain that he will continue to watch over you and the boys. Zachary and Dylan can be proud of their dad, who would always go out of his way for his neighbors on Tampa Street. Ann and I will miss the mornings when we would drive by the house and Ray, the boys and Dash would send us off to work with a wave and a smile. Many times, that turned out to be the best part of our day.
It’s ironic that Ray’s death was caused by a weak heart, but that’s probably because it was always working overtime.
