Donald Pereira Obituary
He is survived by his daughter, Giovanna; parents, James O. Pereira and Donna L. Lomba; his brother, James O' Pereira Jr.; his sister, Kathleen Spencer; and two nieces and two nephews.
Donnie, a graduate of Cape Cod Tech, was well known for his window tinting company, Shady Business, which serviced vehicles and boats all over the Cape and Islands for the past 15 years. The business complemented his love for automobiles and boats. Also a longtime bartender, Donnie spread his cheer, sense of humor, and quick wit among us all. He will be dearly missed by many friends and family.
Visitation will be held at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 West Main St., Hyannis, from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to the Giovanna College Fund, P.O. Box 357, Harvard, MA 01451, or attend a fundraiser for Giovanna on Sept. 21, 2008, to be held at Trader Ed's, Hyannis.

Being able to share this weekend with your family & friends wasn't the same without you there. There was a noticeable void. Giovanna's becoming a wonderful little girl. She says please & thank you. Your parents treat her like the angel she is & love her with everything they have. I'm not sure if I believe in after life or heaven just yet, but I know whatever is after this, you'll be there with two shots of hornitos and an orange juice chaser. I miss & think about you every day.
P.S. Your Dad taught her to cheers her drink. Charlie teared up when she first got him. I know he thought of you.

We miss you more and more as time goes bye.We had a very hard weekend. I hope you are looking down on us and guiding us threw this lonely time with out you! Oh buy they way Giovannas doing great and she stills goes over to the globe and points to the South and says Nana, Daddy. Im not sure why but she thinks your down there who knows maybe your are back on earth living in a new body????????????

I dont have the words or the space to describe how i felt about Donnie.He was one of a kind the first day i met him i was standing at a bar and he was behind me,and he said to me are you gona get a drink (------)or just stand there im thirsty and it was a instant friendship from there on.When my daughter was born on june 2,2001 at 221 in the morning he was the first person i called and he was at the hospital less then 10 minutes later,comming over the bridge is a different feeling knowing that i wont be able to see my friend donnies big smile but it will be in my mind foreever save some seats up there Donnie till we see each other again I love you bud and will never forget the fun we had.....Watch over us my friend....

To My Cousin Donnie: You were like the brother I never had. We shared so many good and bad times. Words cannot explain how much I miss you. I am deaply saddend by the loss of DONNIE DUCK! I will greatly miss him. What I will miss the most is him teaching me all about window tint and him talking crap about people that tried to do it themselves and had all those bubbles. "SMILE" I have such wonderful memories I will cherrish for the rest of my life. Both of you have taught me many many important things. LIke never ride my bike to your house all by my self to your house in marstons mills but DONNIE always to me to come anyways. Plus all those summers I spent at your house. Donna, Jim and family, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I know the loss of a child is the worst a parent can suffer thru. He was one of the good guys. I know time heals, and everything happens for a reason. Just know that something good will come from all of this even if it's years down the road. Donnie's passing is shocking, he was just one of those guys you could always count on and look forward to running into around town and when you didn't run into Donnie, you weren't having a good night and wanted to go to where he was. I am so terribly sorry that we lost Donnie. But we have to remember that he was and still is loved by so so many. No one could asked for so many more friends than he had and still does. I know how sad it is because I have been through the same thing. First you lost one of your Brothers and I lost my Son in April 07, and now your Son and my Grandson in August 08, but Darling they both will be with us forever. they will always be in our hearts. When I am Gone , Do not cry do not wonder,do not ask why,remember me when I have laughed and the times that I have cried and do not be sorry we never said goodbye . when I am gone do not look back into the past ,do not ask why the gift of life has come and gone so fast . Just remember the smile on my face and know that someday we will meet again in the everlasting place.Just remember you are the ones I loved ,and you can see me smiling when you look at the stars above.
