William Bowman Obituary
He was the beloved husband of 52 years to the late Marguerite (Beatty) Bowman; loving father of a daughter, Janet Norling, of Framingham, four sons, Gregory Bowman, of Carver, Ralph Bowman, of Norwell, William Bowman, of Hopkinton, and Richard Bowman, of Plymouth; proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren; proud great-grandfather of four great-grandchildren; and loving companion of Katherine Trainor.
A World War II veteran, he served in the Army Air Forces. He worked for Prudential Insurance for 45 years.
He was a National World Class pole-vaulter representing the U.S. after World War II.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, Sept. 19, at the West Yarmouth Congregational Church, 383 Route 28, at 11 a.m.
Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to McLean Hospital Development Office, 115 Mill St., Belmont, MA 02478.
