ALLSTON — Ruth (Jelley) Searles of Allston died on Sept. 26, 2008.

She was the beloved wife of the late George T. Searles; devoted mother of George E. and his wife, Fran, of South Dennis, Patti Eldred and her husband, Bob, of Methuen, and Pamela Roffo and her husband, Roberto, of New Jersey; sister of Dorothy Stevenson, Robert Jelley, Elizabeth Bishop and the late Helen Gorvet, Walter Jelley, John Jelley, Mary Blunt, Evelyn Beaulieu, Grace Barbuto, Margaret Clouther, Catherine Dyer and Edward Jelley; and loving grandmother of Michael, Jennifer and Megan Searles, Lindsay and Eric Eldred, and Isabella Roffo. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a funeral service in the Lehman & Reen Funeral Home, 63 Chestnut Hill Ave. (near Brighton Courthouse), Brighton, on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment is at Evergreen Cemetery. Visiting hours on Monday, 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral home is handicapped-accessible.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701, would be appreciated.
