HARWICH — Hanna Mary (Mullins) Smith, 98, of Harwich, formerly of Newton, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008.

She was the wife of the late Francis J. Smith; beloved mother of four children, Francis J. Smith Jr. and Beverly A. Cullinane, both of Chatham, Peter C. Smith, of Jacksonville, Fla., and the late Roger M. Smith. She had six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, at Holy Trinity Church, Main Street, West Harwich, with a visiting hour prior to the Mass beginning at 9 a.m. at the Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 260 Main St., West Harwich.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association of Cape Cod, P.O. Box 370, Hyannis, MA 02601, or to Broad Reach Hospice, 390 Orleans Road, Chatham, MA 02633.

My grandma on the beach. The smell of sunscreen, the saturday lunch our only reprieve from the oceans side. Kites, shells, and learning to dead man float. I am grateful for our time, I loved her much, and forever! Lisa Marie Smith
