Vera Fields Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 5, 2008.
BREWSTER — Vera L. Fields, 81, of Brewster, died on Dec. 2, 2008, from complications following surgery at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Elfriede and George Haesloop, and wife of the late Stanton Fields.

A resident of Sea Pines, Brewster, for 30 years, she became a real estate broker upon moving here from River Edge, N.J. Her practice quickly grew and she became a major and much-trusted resource for the Mid-Cape.

She is survived by her three sons, Greg of Burke, Va., Wayne of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Douglas and his wife Susan of Sterling; and a brother, Bill and his wife Mary of Las Vegas. She was the beloved grandmother to Doug and Susan's two children, Jacob and Julia.

Vera will be sorely missed.

Funeral will begin today (Friday), with visiting hours from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Coutinho-Boisse Funeral Home, 678 Main St., Harwich, followed by procession to Pine Grove Cemetery, Old Cemetery Road, in Brewster, for a graveside service at 11 a.m.
