WEST DENNIS - Ernest P. Mayshaw, 76, passed away on Aug. 29, 2007, from complications with Parkinson Disease.

He was the beloved husband of Eileen Griffin and father of Scott Mayshaw of Trabuco Canyon, Calif., Ernest B. Mayshaw of Waterbury, Conn., William Mayshaw of Naugatuck, Conn., and Kathy Mancini and her husband, Mark, of Thomaston, Conn.

He is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Mayshaw was born in Attleboro, the son of Gladys (Grayhurst) and Leon H. Mayshaw and grew up in Waterbury, Conn. He served in the U.S. Navy before going to work as a salesman for Jackson Buff, a North Carolina company.

Upon his retirement, in the early 1980s, he moved to Cape Cod from Oneida, N.Y.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Tuesday, Sept. 4, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth.

Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, Station Ave., South Yarmouth.

Burial will be in Center Cemetery, Wrentham.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Cape Cod Chapter, National Parkinson Foundation, P.O. Box 1211, Dennis, MA 02638-1211.
