Helena M. Power

CENTERVILLE - Helena M. (Ducey) Power, 83, of Centerville, died on Oct. 2, 2007, at the Cape Regency Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Centerville.

Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late James and Marcella (Pendegast) Ducey.

She was the wife of the late James F. Power, who died in 1973; mother of James of Hyannis, John of Cenetrville, and Paula Power-Spirlet of Centerville; sister of James Ducey of Eastham, William Ducey of Waltham, and Molly Downey of Osterville; and grandmother of Kelsi Power-Spirley of New York City, and Jared Power-Spirlet of Centerville.

A graduate of Regis College and B.C. Law School, she loved to sing opera and play golf. She was a past club champion of Wianno Golf Club, and a longtime member of Our Lady of Victory Church, where she was chairperson of many summer fashion shows over the years.

Helena also loved to travel, especially to Europe. She lived on Cape Cod since 1977.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Church, 230 S. Main St., Centerville, on Monday, Oct. 8, at 11 a.m. Visiting hours will be in the church for one hour prior to Mass.
