Ley Morse

PENACOOK, N.H. -

''Ley” Morse, 79, formerly of Cape Cod, passed away Oct. 2, 2007.

She was the wife of the late Donald E. Morse and mother of the late Peter S. White.

Her survivors are her daughters, Katherine Bowman and Lucinda Slade Johnson; two stepsons, Eugene N. Morse and L. Duncan Morse.

She was the grandmother of Sarah, Jeffrey, Joshua, Katherine, Michael, Casey, Mark, Elizabeth, Noah and Anna; great-grandmother of Rebecca and Jackson; cousin Nancy Martens; many nieces and nephews and a multitude of dear friends.

Ley was born in Malden, Mass., and attended Needham High School and Green Mountain College in Vermont.

She was an active member of Grace Episcopal Church and Community Life Group in Concord, N.H.

She was president of the Woman's Guild in Westboro, Sunday School teacher in Harwich Port, ''Meeteneets” member in Yarmouthport, a nurse's aid at Cape Cod Hospital and devoted volunteer at Concord Hospital.

Ley and her husband, Don, were the owners of the Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast for many years.

She will be remembered by her love and devotion to her family, friends and church. A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 18, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Route 134, South Dennis.

A memorial service will be held, Friday, Oct. 19, at 11 a.m. in St. David's Episcopal Church in South Yarmouth, with a burial in Woodside Cemetery, Summer Street, Yarmouthport.

A gathering will be located in the Nelson Hall in St. David's Episcopal Church following the services at the cemetery.
