Rosemary A. Love

MASHPEE — Rosemary Amelia (Kruse) Love, a resident of New Seabury and North Fort Meyers, Fla., and formerly of Westwood, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis. She was 83.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pa., Mrs. Love was the daughter of the late Francis and Stella (Eisenbarth) Kruse. She graduated from St. Wendelyn School in Pittsburgh, and earned her nursing degree from St. Joseph School of Nursing in Pittsburgh.

Mrs. Love worked as a registered nurse for almost a decade at the Star of David Nursing Home in West Roxbury. She was a former member of the Dedham Choral Society, Dedham, and sang in the choir at St. Denis Church in Islington, where she was an active parishioner.

She was also a former Cub Scout den mother and Brownie leader.

An avid bridge player and golfer, Mrs. Love was a member of the Woodland Golf Club in Newton, New Seabury Golf Club in New Seabury, Heron's Glen Country Club in North Fort Meyers, Fla., and the Punta Gorda Country Club in Port Charlotte, Fla. She was also a member of the Ladies Red Hat Society.

She is survived by her husband, John A. Love; three sons, John N. Love of Wayland, J. Gary Love of Franklin, and Gregory F. Love of Portland, Maine; three daughters, Nancy Kroszner of Trumbull, Conn., Kathy Robertson of Marstons Mills, and Mary Love of Holden, as well as four sisters and a brother, all from the greater Pittsburgh, Pa., area; and 10 grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be Friday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the Folsom Funeral Home, 649 High St., Westwood. Relatives and friends will gather at the funeral home, on Saturday, at 9 a.m. and proceed to St. Denis Church, 157 Washington St., Islington, for her Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Private interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
