I'm sorry to say that back in High School, Mary Ann and I never got to be really close, but from someone who came from outside St.Jerome's I will always remember Mary Ann's welcoming smile, and her infectious laugh. Upon entering Holyoke Catholic, Mary Ann made all welcome. I remember her with a light heart. I am deeply saddened by her passing. My thoughts today are with those she left behind.

Mrs. Conway's Husband and children: I just heard this past weekend about your passing of your wife and mother and please know that she was a beautiful person! She was a teacher who made a difference in so many children's life. I will always be thankful and grateful for what she gave my kids at Sacred Heart for they are who they are today because of her! She was the best second grade teacher any of us could ask for! I remember once we gave her a St. Patrick's Day card with a $2.00 scratch ticket and she won $50.00 on it and you think she won the jackpot!

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. You should be very proud of your Wife and Mom for she did make a difference. More than maybe she ever knew. I hope you can find some comfort in knowing she is with Jesus now.

God Bless, Clare, Fred, Brittany Freddy Freeman (former Sacred Heart family)

Although I never met Mariane, I have had the pleasure of spending time with her son who has a wonderful sense of humor and a fun loving spirit. Mariane obviously touched many people. Undoubtedly she will be missed by her loving son Brendan and his beautiful bride to be, Jennifer, who shared many touching stories about Mariane. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family.

I have only known Mariane for four years, but I'm glad our paths crossed. She was always smiling and ready to share stories of our life as teachers. She was thrilled when my Grandson was born and I know she was so proud to become a Grandmother too. She will be missed by all who were lucky to have crossed her path. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Like, Mariane, I was a 1966 graduate of Holyoke Catholic. Strange as it might sound, I was also a member of the kindergarten rhythm band of Miss Madeline Rathbun of the South Chestnut school, also in Holyoke. Mariane was also a member of that elite group. I have an article from the 1954 Holyoke Daily Transcript which includes a description of one of our memorable performances..too bad I remember so little of it...

I was saddened to read of Mariane's passing and I wish to offer my condolences to her friends and family. I hope that the support and love of all those who knew Mariane will carry you through at this time of loss.
