Ruth I. Morton

FALMOUTH — Ruth I. (Shea) Morton, 78, of Falmouth, died at Falmouth Hospital on Oct. 26, 2007.

She was the wife of the late Thomas A. Morton.

In 1955, she moved to Falmouth and worked as an assistant in the accounting department at Falmouth Town Hall for many years. After she retired from the town hall, she worked for 10 years in the business department at Falmouth Hospital.

She is survived by two sons, Michael Morton and Kevin Morton, both of East Falmouth; two daughters, Kathleen Stolki of Chelmsford and Mary Lou Connolly of Falmouth; three sisters, Elizabeth Powers of Silver Spring, Md., Barbara Laferriere of Garland, Texas, and Virginia Geary of Lowell; a brother, Daniel Shea of Texas City, Texas; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Donald Shea, Paul Shea, Dorothy Cohn and Rita Shea.

The family would like to thank all the Bayada nurses for all their love and support.

Visiting hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral, 475 Main St., Falmouth Center, MA 02540. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, at St. Patrick's Church, 511 Main St., Falmouth, followed by burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Falmouth.
