Ronald Woods Obituary

EAST FALMOUTH — Ronald E. Woods Jr., 49, died unexpectedly on Friday, Nov. 16, 2007.

Born in East Falmouth, he was the son of the late Ronald E. and Beverly A. Woods.

He is survived by two sons, Zachary and Jacob Woods of Rhode Island, and girlfriend Laura Rodriguez. Also surviving him are his grandmother, Irene Netto of East Falmouth; sister, Judith Woods of Florida; niece, Crystal Waterman of Kentucky; aunt, Debra Netto of East Falmouth; cousins; and many friends.

Ronald was a gourmet cook, working in many restaurants, from Lincolnville, Maine, to Falmouth, to Naples, Fla. He always made sure there was plenty of food for everyone. He was involved in the Falmouth Militia, loved nature, traveling, and reading, especially English naval history. He will always be remembered for his kind heart.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at St. Anthony's Church, 167 E. Falmouth Highway, East Falmouth. Immediately following, family and friends are welcome to gather at the VFW Hall, Aptucxet Post, 180 Shore Road, Bourne.

Ronnie and I worked together way back in the '70's at the Quarterdeck.
I had run into him several times in the last few years and always received that warm smile and a big hug of friendship.
Always thought of him as "the nearest thing to Tom Cruise that I would ever get to..."

My sympathy to family and fellow friends.

My condolences to the Woods Family.
Ron and I cooked together at the Coonemesset Inn a few years back,and became great friends ever since.
Some of the people that used to work there called Ron,myself,and another co-worker "THE 3 STOOGES"
cause we were such goofs.
