Thomas Delehanty Obituary

Thomas J. Delehanty
Mr. Delehanty, 76, Charlotte, was born in Des Moines, Iowa on March 27, 1932 and passed away peacefully on Monday, March 2, 2009 at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House from a brain tumor.
Mr. Delehanty previously lived in Sea Ranch Lakes, Florida and relocated to Charlotte in 2006. He was a graduate from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and attended Loyola Law School in Chicago. In 1967, Mr. Delehanty relocated from Chicago to Pompano Beach, Florida where he ran a successful Insurance Agency for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Carol, and children, from a previous marriage, Kathleen M. Sephton of Atlanta, Georgia and John M. Delehanty of Pompano Beach, Florida; stepson, W. Michael Brinkley, Jr. and his wife Cindy and two granddaughters Olivia and Sophia of Charlotte.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his name to Levine & Dickson Hospice House, www.donatehospice.org.
