Jim and Sherry, I am sorry I did not see that you mother had died until the Hopewell newsletter came. Please accept my sympathy and know that I thought highly of both of your parents. You mother was so sweet and lovely. My love.

MY HEART GOES OUT TO THE FAMILY. I KEPT UP WITH JIM AND KATHLEEN FOR A LONG TIME AFTER WE MOVED FROM THEIR ORIGNAL HOME ON STATESVILLE. RD. EVEN AFTER "BIG JIM" PASSED ON, MARTIN AND MYSELF VISITED WITH KATHLEEN IN DAVIDSON, BUT THEN WE LOST TOUCH. I WONDERED THROUGH THE YEARS HOW SHE WAS DOING. I'LL NEVER FORGOT HER AND HAVE NEVER FORGOTTEN "BIG JIM" AND THE KINDNESS THEY SHOWERED ON US WHEN MAYNARD, MARTIN AND MYSELF LIVED NEXT DOOR TO THEM. BECAUSE OF THEM, MY SON GREW UP WITH MANY MEMORIES AND THEY WERE LOVE SO MUCH BY US AND ALL OUR FRIENDS LOVED THEM TO. SHE WILL LIVE ON IN MY HEART AND ALL SHE TAUGHT ME ABOUT GROWING FLOWERS AND JUST LEARNING HOW TO ENJOY TIME BY SOMETHING SUCH AS JUST SWINGING OUTSIDE WHERE WE SHARED MUCH TIME, FUN AND LAUGHTER. LOVE GOES OUT.
