Mary Reardon Obituary

Mary Reardon
Mrs. Reardon, of Davidson, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2009 after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Joe, and her two children, Kevin of China Grove and Karen and husband Sam Franklin of Charlotte. She was blessed with six grandchildren, five beautiful girls, Brittany, Katelyn, Olivia, Taylor and Allie, and grandson, Sam. Mary is survived by her sister, Pauline Turner of Moss Point Mississippi, and her equally beloved sister-in-law, Joann Morgan of Caruthersville, Missouri, and many, many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Mary was born in Braggadocio, Missouri, the youngest of five children, to Earl and Eunice Morgan. She spent many years in St. Louis where she met and married Joe, a young Air Force pilot in training. During their early years together, they traveled the United States and Europe building relationships that survive to this day. In 1975, they settled their family of four in Charlotte, North Carolina. Throughout the ensuing years, Joe's professional career took them to Raleigh, North Carolina, Roanoke, Virginia, and Minneapolis, Minnesota. Following retirement, they returned to Davidson to be close to their children and grandchildren.
Mary was a beautiful woman with an irresistible smile that welcomed all into her friendship. She was vibrant, enthusiastic, intuitive, thoughtful, and reverent. In all respects she was a very classy lady. Her deepest love was for her husband, family and the Lord. She was especially devoted to her beloved grandchildren. Though God has called her home, she will be with us always.
Holy Mass will be offered up in her honor at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 6, at St. Mark Catholic Church, 14740 Stumptown Road, Huntersville, NC 28078. The family will receive friends at Raymer Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, March 5.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorials be sent to St. Mark Catholic Church.
Raymer Funeral Home is serving the Reardon Family.
