Margaret Staten Obituary

Margaret Louise Staten
Mrs. Staten, 85, of Ypsilanti, MI and Charlotte, NC passed away peacefully in her sleep March 22, 2009 at Willow Creek Independent Living Facility in Michigan.
Mrs. Staten was the daughter of the late Alex and Fannie Harris. She was preceded in death by husband, Louis Staten, Sr.; son, Willie Edward Staten; sister, Katherine Walt; and grandson, Ulysses Filmore Staten.
Mrs. Staten is survived by daughter, Joyce McColbert of Charlotte, NC; two sons, Louis (Barbara) Filmore Staten, Jr., of New York,NY and Rev. Randolph (Halisi) W. Staten of Minneapolis, MN; brother, William 'Bill' Harris; sister, Sarah Harris; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Staten of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Tamika Staten, Christopher Staten, Eric Staten, Arnetta Strickland, Cheri Stitt, Carl Cooper, Deborah Cooper, Dekota Neal, Randolph Staten, Jr., Candy Parker, Shamari Staten, Malaika Staten and Monty Welch; 18 great grandchildren; 28 great, great granchildren; and a host of cousins and friends.
Margaret loved the Lord and dedicated her life to serving Him.
Visitation will be March 27, 2009 at 12:00 noon and Homegoing Service will be at 1:00 p.m. at Glorious Full Gospel Tabernacle at 2300 Sanders Ave. in Charlotte, NC.
Services are entrusted to Richmond Funeral Home.
