Kimberly Byrd Obituary
Michelle Dawkins Byrd
SOCIETY HILL -- Mrs. Byrd, age 35, died March 23, 2009.
Born in Dunn, NC, she was the daughter of Robert M. and Libby West Dawkins. She was a Paramedic, a member of the Society Hill Rescue Squad, and a member of the Sunset Avenue Church of God in Asheboro, NC. She was a PTO member at Faith Christian Academy in Cheraw.
Surviving are her husband, Erick Byrd and a daughter, Taylor E. Byrd of Society Hill; her parents, Robert and Libby Dawkins of Troy, NC; two brothers, R. Todd Dawkins of Dunn, NC and Joseph Dawkins of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Cindy Thompson of Franklinville, NC and Kathy Dawkins of Asheboro, NC; maternal grandparents, Dale and Patricia Spell West of Dunn, NC; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Welsh Neck Baptist Church in Society Hill with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Memorials may be made to Taylor E. Byrd Education Fund, c/o Founders Federal Credit Union, 2599 Hwy. 9, Cheraw, SC 29520.
Norton Funeral Home of Cheraw is serving the Byrd Family.
