Heidi Perrone Obituary

Heidi Perrone
Heidi died on February 8, 2007 at her home after a courageous 8-year battle with carcinoid cancer. Born September 8, 1966, she was the daughter of Erik and John Perrone of Marcy, NY.
A memorial/prayer service will be held on February 12, at the Raymer Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville, NC, between the hours of 6:00-8:00 PM. Arrangements are being made for a funeral Mass in Whitesboro, NY at a later date.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her soulmate, Paul Limpert and his son, Paul Jr., of Mooresville, NC; her brother, Christopher, sister-in-law, Kelly, and niece and nephew, Allison and Joseph Perrone of Morgantown, PA; her sister, Stephanie Perrone and niece, Olivia McArthur, of Marcy, NY; grandparents, Josephine and George Perrone of Whitesboro, NY; aunts, Rosalinda Kocot of Florida, NY, and Rugena Howe of Holland Patent, NY; aunts and uncles, Ella and Robert Baker of Oriskany, NY and Irene and Rafael Ihly of Monroe, NY; and the Limpert family of Syracuse,NY.
Heidi grew up in Marcy, NY where she graduated from Holland Patent High School in 1984. She worked for Piedmont Airlines/USAirways in Charlotte since she graduated from Herkimer County Community College (NY) in 1986. She also was a licensed Real Estate Agent with Lacky & Whitley Realty Group in Lincolnton, NC. Heidi was a hard-working dedicated employee who before her battle with cancer never missed work no matter how she felt.
An avid boater and expert at water skiing and jet skiing, Heidi loved her beautiful home on Lake Norman. She was a master at home improvement projects that included painting, sewing, and interior design. She was even known to change points and plugs in your car or boat if needed. She loved snow skiing, travel and country music. She cherished all her friends dearly and always put others before herself. Heidi always lit up a room with her smile the moment she walked in.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Carcinoid Cancer Foundation, Inc., 333 Mamaroneck Avenue, #492, White Plains, NY 10605.

Heidi was so strong for so long through this fight and yet she never lost her incredible spirit. She is safe with God now and no longer in pain. I will take comfort in that along with all the wonderful memories we have shared. We have known each other for almost twenty years and I will always treasure that time and friendship.
This world is a better place for having had Heidi in it and my life is blessed for having had her as a friend.

I can't even start to tell everyone who knew and shared a part of their life with Heidi how sad I feel for them all. A long time ago I shared some really special Piedmont memories, some of them were considered the best. She will always be in my heart even though through time we chose different paths, and eventually lost touch. But her memories will live on and I will hold on to them in the fondest way. I miss those days, she made things so fun and carefree. She helped me live my life to the fullest. Now in the Lords arms she will share something so much more. My deepest sympathy goes out to her family and friends. God, what great times we once had. LOVE YOU HEIDI!!!!

If you ever met Heidi you would never know how sick she was. Oh God what a courageous soul she has always been. Since her death I have looked back at pictures of her and all her friends and she was always smiling and enjoying life to the fullest, she had a spirit that I cannot explain even though we did not know her on a really personal basis she will be so missed and we are so thankful to have known her and been in her presence. May God bring all of her family and friends peace during this time of need. God Bless each of you.

To all of Heidi's family and Friends,
What a huge loss for all of us. Our loss is surely Heaven's gain. What a courageous young woman who fought such a huge battle for so long.
Thank you for sharing Heidi with us. What a huge ray of sunshine. On Thursday, when I got news of Heidi's death, I looked out and sure enough the sun was shining. I will miss her a lot, but I'm glad she's not suffering anymore. I feel very lucky to have had such a positive role model in my life for almost 20 years.
To Mr. and Mrs. Perrone,
You did such an awesome job raising Heidi. I only hope that I can do as good of a job raising my son by myself. You see, my husband was killed in September in a motorcycle accident and my son was only 10 at the time. Wendy Spiegel went to pick up Heidi so she could bring her to see me at the funeral home. I cannot tell you what that meant to me. That was the last time I was able to see Heidi, but I found out who my true friends were.
Take comfort in knowing she is not suffering anymore and there was nothing else you could have done for her. You loved her unconditionally as all parents do.
I will continue to pray for your family and Heidi's friends as I know the coming days will be hard.
God Bless You,
Michelle Lane Potter
