Dorothy, Thank you for all you did for all of us with the presveration of Taylorcraft. It was so ironic that my father(now 84) had just mentioned days before you made your last flight home( and we did not know of your time was near... your name just came up in conversation..thats the effect you had) that he was so pleased to meet and spent time at the factory with you when he was out making sales calls in the metal business back in the 1970s sometime. You had a blessed life and will always be an inspiration to all of us left in the world as we know it. Godspeed Dorthy Feris.

Thank you, Dorothy, for your key efforts in finishing the work Charlie began to bring the World's Finest Lightplane back so that those who admire it as we do could continue enjoying it. Well Done, and may your Spirit and his both continue to fly with all those who so dearly love Taylor's fine airplane. We will miss you.
Sincerely,
Lou and Marie Whitaker

We remember Dorothy as the kindly yet able administrator of a struggling little airplane company. Her Taylorcraft legacy lives on in many forms, not only in the aircraft built in Alliance but many satisfied customers of replacement parts that kept the old fleet going. we remember well her effort to help us purchase the engine from the prototype F-19 for use in our low budget homebuilt. It still motors on to this day! Thanks again Dorothy!

Dorothy was a great lady and gave so much of her life to aviation. I will always remember how she personally guided me around her factory in 1977 when I stopped by Barber's Field.
She will not be forgotten. Her spirit will fly with us forever.
Have a safe flight home Dorothy.

From all your friends at the Barber Airport, I hardly seems that about 18 yrs have passed since Dorothy lived here. We were very fortunate to have her return to so many Fly-Ins and Reunions. God Bless All. She was a Great Lady!
