Herbert "Bernie" Marder, of Highland Park, passed away Saturday, Oct. 4, at home after a long illness. Beloved husband of Barbara "Babs" Marder, nee Post; loving father of Michael (Jere) Marder, Larry (Cory)  Marder, Joanne (P. Stratton) Davies and the late Jonathan Marder; proud grandfather of Preston and Shaun Davies; dear brother of the late Madeline (the late David) Rosenbaum and the late Marvin (Lyla) Marder. Interment private. Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at Am Shalom, 840 Vernon Ave., Glencoe, IL 60022. In lieu of flowers, donations to Midwest Palliative and Hospice Care Center, 2050 Claire Ct., Glenview, IL 60025, would be greatly appreciated.
