The stories are endless.... the memories are etched... every thought of you brightens even the darkest of days.... your presence felt is always greatly appreciated... only if you could be here to share an occasional walk down memory lane so we could experience that facial glow and infectious laugh you were always so generous to share with everyone.... although manageable, the heartaches still exist and you are still greatly missed every second of every day.. the nicknames you created are still used daily, 35 years later... Thank you for all that you have gifted and still continue to share... Know the love for you is never ending.....

I was deeply saddened by the untimely death of Jacob J. Burke. Although, I only new him for a relatively few short months, he was my friend and colleague. Jacob was always such a warm individual. He always had a bright smile, an occasional joke, and will be surely missed. I will miss Jacob who was a spirited individual that lived life to the fullest, enjoyed his short time on this earth, and always got a kick out of it when I traded jokes with him, and affectionately coined a nickname for him that he loved. Jacob, you will be missed by many buddy. I know God has taken you to a better place. My deepest condolences go out to your family and friends during this difficult time. I pray that they will be comforted by the knowledge that you’re home with the lord. May you rest in peace.

Jake was a friend that always had me laughing. I remeber when we were in the car and I got a flat tire on a cold winter night, Jake got right out layed down in the snow and fixed it with no gloves on. When I picture him in my head I can't help but smile, he has a spirt about him I will never forget. Jake went out of his way to help me and I am forever grateful I was blessed to have him in my life. I know that he is smiling down on us waiting till we can meet once more.

Jake was a wonderful person. He always had a smile on his face and brought with that positive energy and good feelings. I sat right next to Jake and we would always have conversations about poker, politics, religion, and really anything to get us talking. He will truly be missed as he was someone who really brought a lot of good to the workplace. My deepest sympathies go out to his family at this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My friend Jake was another young man taken from his loved ones at a much to early age. God must have other plans for him. A charismatic friend that brought a smile to everyone he touched, he will be missed. The love I felt for Jake runs deep into my heart and soul. To Jakes loved ones I am truly sorry for your loss. Jake is at peace and free to do God's work. Keep in mind, the Lord closes one door and opens another. Look for that door it will open and we will all be blessed by it. Jake I will love and miss you with every ounce of my being. God Bless Mr. "D"

Too young, too soon this life to take,
So much to learn and friends to make.
Too many journeys left undone,
And friends to share the setting sun.
Now struggling, quiet, dark, alone
Young hearts are bleeding for their own.
How can it be? It is not true -
Young life should go on ever new.
But yes, one life has slipped away
And those behind must try each day
To live and love and share and then,
Within their hearts he lives again.
We will always remember your ready smile and friendly manner, Jake, always sunshine to brighten any day, even back in the days of Little League. Our hearts go out to you, Pattie and T and Randy and our prayers are with you. Arlis and Paul Ander

Smiling, optimistic, confident, practical joker, and most enduringly loyal- this is the Jacob that will live forever in my heart and fondest memories. His contagious smile could raise the spirits of any room and his laugh will never be forgotten. Ask any friend for happy memories of Jacob and there would not be enough time to share them all. My tears have been mixed with smiles as I recount our endless summers together- I only wish there could be more. Jacob was, and always will be, loved like a brother. Patty, T, and Randy- my deepest condolences and prayers.
