Tommy is survived by one daughter, Megan Perkins of Denver, Colo.; and her mother, Mary Perkins of Evansville. Other survivors include sisters, Donna Gibson,of Columbus, Okla., and Linda Weitzel of Evansville; brothers-in-law, Bill Gibson of Mount Vernon, Ind., and Jerry Callaway of Evansville; sisters-in-law, Peggy Eberhard and Dorothy Alberico of Utica, N.Y.; and a very special sister-in-law, Rachel Callaway, who was Tommy's caregiver and best friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ruth Perkins.
Tommy belonged to Teamsters Local 215, loved being a truck driver and had worked at George Koch and Sons. He retired in 2006 from Powerline Freight in Chandler, Ind. Tommy had also been a bartender at Paul's Tavern for 30 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Southerncare Hospice and Tommy's special friends and neighbors at Sugar Mill Creek. Tommy had recently accepted Jesus as his Savior.
