Dottie was my mother in law for 25 years and my best friend for even longer. She taught everyone she met about life, and love, and living every minute. She taught me that things worth doing were worth doing well, and to walk away quietly when it's time to go. I have so many memories of her to choose from at any moment and she'll be in my heart forever.
Bye Dottie,
I love you

I don't know where to start to be honest... I love my Aunt Dot so much, i thought of her like my Grandma, and im not trying to be mean to my other grandparents at all but she was the best and Uncle George is the best grandpa i can ever ask for. It funny i would find myself calling them that ... I'm going to miss her so much, its just not going to be the same without her. I will never forget my grandma. I love you.

here is a song i wrote about her and uncle George/grandpa... its from what i thought there point of view might have been ..i'll explain the best i can.. so i hope whoever reads this will understand... and for the ones who know me i'm a singer/song writer... i write my songs with a guitar...

. * the first "V" is about both of them of what maybe they were thinking / saying...
* the "C" is about what grandpa saying/thinking...
* the 2nd "V" is about what grandpa is saying/thinking or feeling.
* the "B" is also about what grandpa is saying....

V-This room is to cold, to cold for me...
I hear the rain it's calling,it's calling my name...
Dripping softly as the thunder rolls...
i'm waiting for you to call me home, to come home...

C-I'm so scared i'll forget your smile, your beautiful face...
the way it felt to brush your tears away...
and I was so scared , so scared,
when you took that last breath...
you didn't take me with you...
just me and memories you left ...

V2-I can pull the covers over my weary head...
and dream my arms are around you, instead...
i can hold on to memories, of you and me...
but its so hard when your flying... with new wings, don't forget about me....

C-I'm so scared i'll forget your smile, your beautiful face...
the way it felt to brush your tears away...
and I was so scared , so scared,
when you took that last breath ...
you didn't take me with you...
just me and memories you left ...

B- Dorothy Mae will you breath me in , in your last breath...
Dorothy Mae, you were heaven sent...
will you breath me in...
so i won't forget...
will you breath me in ...
so you won't forget ...
will you breath me...
so we won't forget..........

I love you Aunt Dot and Uncle George...

Grandma and Grandpa...

I will always cherish the times we shared together. Aunt Dot was a beautiful person and we all loved her dearly. I smile when I think of the weekends together, doing crafts, and we can't forget when she baked the apple pie and lost her fake fingernail in it and Kevin got the piece of pie and said "What the heck is this?" and she said, "Oh, I was wondering where that went". We all had a good laugh over that one.
Our times together were always filled with laughter, joy and love ...I will keep the memories close in my heart. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to Uncle George and family...

Grandma Dottie will be missed. She was a wonderful woman with a caring demeanor. I will miss her laugh the most. Her silver dollar pancakes at the cabin in Granby were the best thing on the face of the planet. There are tons of memories I have of my grandma. My heart goes out to my dad and to George. God bless this family.
