Edwin Hanlon Obituary

NORTH ATTLEBORO Edwin L. Hanlon of North Attleboro, formerly of Norwood and Haines City, Fla., died June 19, 2008. He was the beloved wife of the late Mary E. (Mahoney) Hanlon; loving father of Edward C. of Marlborough, Patricia A. McEttrick of Mansfield, Carole J. Ylijoki of North Attleboro, J. Kevin of Malden, Eileen Orso of North Attleboro, Kathleen M. Gagne of Seekonk and James B. of North Attleboro; cherished brother of Robert Hanlon of Whitman, Eileen Coullahan of Wareham, Loretta Scafati of Westwood, Mildred Greenwood of Westwood, Mary Reilly of Maryland, James Hanlon of California and the late Louise Nolan, Paul Hanlon and Jeanne Cassidy. He also is survived by 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was a World War II Navy veteran. His funeral is from Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St. (Rte. 1A), Norwood, Tuesday, June 24, at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Timothy Church, 650 Nichols St., Norwood, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours at the funeral home are Monday, June 23, from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Edwin may be made to Caritas Good Samaritan Hospice, 3 Edgewater Drive, Norwood, MA 02062. For rememberances and condolences, visit www.mem. com.

Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. Eddie was an occassional baby sitter for me when I lived at 101 Washington Street. I remember your family house on the hill seen from our front porch.
