Liliana Krysiak Obituary

WALTHAM Liliana M. Krysiak, 64, of Waltham, died unexpectedly early Sunday morning, July 6, 2008, at her home. Born on January 13, 1944 in Poland, daughter of the late Tadeusz and Helena (Bialuska) Kalisiak, Mrs. Krysiak was a resident of Waltham for the past 40 years. Mrs. Krysiak received her masters degree from Simmons College and worked as a librarian at Harvard Widener. In her spare time, she enjoyed building things, working with arts and crafts, and most especially, gardening. Liliana is survived by her loving niece and nephew, Liza Kalisiak of Florida and Edward Kalisiak of Waltham. She was the sister of the late Robert and Marek Kalisiak. A private funeral service will be held in celebration of Lilianas life. The Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapels in Waltham assisted the family with the arrangements.

I knew Liliana for 20 years. She came to this country originally for a vacation and decided to stay, although her heart was in her native Poland. She showed me Poland and it's culture. She had a spirit that over came adversity. She will be dearly missed

Warm summer sun,
Shine kindly here,
Warm southern wind,
Blow softly here.
Green sod above,
Lie light, lie light.
Good night, dear heart,
Good night, good night

Liliana was in many ways a sweet and kind person, particularly when I visited Boston to engage in some research back in the mid-1990s. She really listened when people spoke, and her enthusiasm for a wide variety of topics often proved infectious. I will miss her laugh, but the angels will benefit from it now.

Liliana was a wonderful person. Her words couldn't always convey the enthusiasm she had for a given subject. She always welcomed me and my family when we visited either Massachusetts or Connecticut. I will dearly miss her.
