Richard Snow Obituary

WALTHAM Richard W. Dick Snow, of Waltham, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston. He was 61. Born in Beverly in July 1946, a son of the late Walter and Nora Snow, he was raised and educated in Wellesley, where he was a graduate of Wellesley High School. During the Vietnam War, he served with the U.S. Navy. He had been a member of American Legion Post No. 440 in Newton. Dick lived in Waltham for the past 40 years and had been working for the City of Waltham Public Works Department for the past 24 years. He loved all kinds of music and worked for 25 years as an entertainer at various local events. He leaves his wife, Grace Marie (Biddy) Snow; his children, Darlene Pallone and her husband, Phil, of Kingston, Deborah Leva and her husband, Robert, of Northborough, Richard Sampson and his wife, Kelley, of Burlington, Steven Snow and his wife, Lori, of Waltham, and Lisa Snow of Waltham; his grandchildren, Brandi, Samantha, Alexandria, Justin, Dominic, Philip, Karen, Thomas, Emma and Jenna; one brother, Walter Snow of Medway; one sister, Nancy Snow of Framingham; and many nieces and nephews. Dick was also the father of the late Tammy Jean Snow. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral at 9 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 5, from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main St. (Rte. 20), Waltham, followed by a funeral Mass at Saint Marys Church, 133 School St., Waltham, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Monday, Aug. 4, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114.
