Marquita,

You are so welcome…. I know you'll miss Pops but we all have to go when it our time….. Rest assured that he's smiling down on you…. now that he's cleared in processing and got his new room…. I bet when he introduced himself to the freshman class and was ask to tell'em a little about himself…. He spoke proudly of his daughters who took such good care of him in his latter years and were so faithful unto him until the end….

My mother's been there for three years, she's a Junior studying there at the University of Heaven, North America….. Will graduate next September With an A.D. (Angelic Degree) and begin her new career as one of God's Spiritual Communicators working closely with some individual to communicate Gods words and watch over that person until its their time to cross over…..

I pray that I will be the one she's assigned to watch over….. And I'm certain that your father will work to watch over you and your sister and others ….. Because you were so faithful, loving, and giving in every possible way….

Again, you are so welcome, I enjoyed talking with you as well, you have such a wonderful sense of humor and caring way… and you're so easy to talk to…. And thank you, for being a friend….

I have so many memories of Dad,I can't begin to list them. His wit, his sarcasm (smile), his wisdom and his caring spirit. Most of all his love.
There will always be an empty place in
my heart, but the memories will live
forever. I will be forever blessed for being allowed to be a part of the family.

Love you Dad,

Pat

Grandpa,
I look around and see so many unhappy people who don't seem to believe in themselves,or feel worthy of what they want or have, and I can't help but wonder if they had a Grandpa like you, how different their lives might be, how much more confidence they might have, how many more of their hopes could have become realities. Grandpa your love, time and support were priceless gifts. Everyday they are with me in the joys I feel the challenges I face, and the dreams I follow. And everyday Grandpa I will think of you with appreciation and so much love. I will always remember to thank God, for having a Grandpa like you.
I will miss you

May GOD be with your family during this and always. May he continue to keep you in his loving care forever. The picture reminds me of when they all use to get together and go fishing. I remember the hat well.
God bless

This was the perfect picture to have in the obituary for Daddy. I burst into a smile when I saw it online because it epitomizes Walter Slaughter's outlook on life. Daddy was most always upbeat, and when he wasn't, at his age what could we do but deal with it! (lol) It has been a priveledge to be a part of his life. I will always admire his wit and propencity to make those who were a part of his life feel we were all very important to him. While he'll be missed we understand that he has completed his mission on earth and is now walking among the
Angels with Jesus Christ, where God willing we will meet him again in due time

I love you Daddy,
Michelle (aka Rochelle)(inside joke!)
