To the Family. I apologize for the late response but I just read of Ernie's passing in the Virginia Lawyer. I worked with Ernie in the later 1970s and had the utmost respect for a fellow Navy man and great human being. My heart is very saddened. Please accept my belated sincere condolences.

Ernie was in my 'small section' at UVa Law School. I did not know him well but remember his courtesy and 'senior' status (most of us were right out of college - he had been in Vietnam). When he spoke up in class, it was always worth listening to him. Me ke Aloha!

I remember Ernie Flynn as a good and fair boss at Southern Title who gave a young man, straight off the street, a job in a field he knew next to nothing about. He was a great boss, sorry to hear of his passing.

Another fine example of America's fine young men who serve the Country they love. As a fellow Bluejacket fair winds and following seas. May God Bless. I am a Vietnam Veteran and very proud to be associated with you,
