Virginia Blankenbaker Estes

Virginia Blankenbaker Estes, 85, of Madison, died Tuesday, September 29, 2009, at Autumn Care of Madison.

She was born April 7, 1924, in Charlottesville, the daughter of the late John Elliott Blankenbaker and Alice Armentrout Blankenbaker and wife of the late James Boyd Estes. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Estes Berrey.

Mrs. Estes was a member of Beth Car Baptist Church in Madison.

She is survived by three grandchildren, Catherine B. Dunn, Robert H. Berrey Jr. and his wife, Kim, and Donna L. Berrey; two great-grandchildren, Maggie Berrey and John Berrey and a son-in-law; Robert H. Berrey Sr., all of Madison.

A graveside funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2009, at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Madison conducted by Dr. Don Reid.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 2009, at the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Madison County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 868, Madison, Virginia 22727.

Bobby, Kathy & Donna,
My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. My Mom was just a few months younger than your grandmother. 85 is a pretty long lifespan!!
