It's only been seeventeen days since you've been gone. I miss your phone calls, yours jokes and your laughter. It's just to quiet without you right now we would be one the phone you would be on your way to the Brook Rd post office telling what exit you are passing. We would talk going and coming back. But now you are delivering the mail in the sky. All I can say is I really miss you. Only now you don't have to say I'm still hopping around now you don't have to be sick and suffer any more. You may now take your rest my brother. No more suffering and no more pain REST MY BROTHER until we meet again. Enjoy yourself in your new home. God only takes the BEST. God must have needed the best mail carrier of all time the hardest working man I know. The Man who would never say NO. My heart is truly broken But I know you're in a better place. Missing you Diane

There is a laughter missing in Vesuvius that I had come to expect each afternoon as Linwood ran his route and picked up the mail and delivered his good cheer; however dismal the day seemed, he always seemed to brighten it up a bit. My condolescences to his family which he bragged about constantly and loved so much.

I love you Uncle Lin. I wish you didn't have to go but there was a greater plan in store for you in heaven, your missions here on earth have been fulfilled. I know that you are in heaven with family and friends “living it up and being crazy!” You would be proud of the strength and courage that everyone has shown during this difficult time. Uncle Lin, because of you I know what a man is supposed to be, a protector and a provider for his family and friends. You are the epiphany of a man and your devotion to life and living has given me an opportunity to understand and appreciate the statute of a true man and to expect those qualities in one, and to settle for nothing less. You are a great dad, brother, son, and uncle, you are an enforcer, a comedian, a landscaper, a volunteer and the “HARDEST WORKING MAN” I know, “simply put.. You were not a force to be reckoned with and I have always admired that about you. When things needed to be done you delivered “every-time.” I have adored all 30 years that we spent to together and we will meet again someday, “Next time I’m driving and you will be the one leaning with the curve on route 53!”
Love always,
Niece.. Ja’Nelle “The Showstopper” Payne and great-nephew… Ja’Quan “baby cub” Payne.
For my family:
Matthew 5:4
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

P.S. (Uncle Lemon) “I’m getting that motorcycle, and you will have a good time laughing up there!”
