Deanna Cascioli Obituary

DEANNA "DIANE" MARY CASCIOLI AGE: 70 PARSIPPANY Deanna 'Diane' Mary (Conklin) Cascioli, 70, passed away at her home on Wednesday, March 18, 2009. She was born and raised in Newark. She lived in Maplewood for 15 years before moving to Parsippany in December of 1966. Deanna graduated from Columbia High School in Maplewood and received her Nursing Degree from Beth Israel Hospital in Newark. For all of Deanna's many & vast humanitarian accomplishments, she considered her greatest life's work to be the love she brought and received through her work at the Arc of Morris County where she selflessly changed and contributed to the lives of the many special needs adults that were entrusted to her care and benefited through her selfless, humble and exquisitely shared style of unconditional love. She believed her greatest accomplishment of all was the loving, devoted and extended family she built with the love of her life, Vito during their 42 years of blessed matrimony. Deanna served as President and Treasurer of the PTA of the Parsippany School System and she was a devoted member of the Parish of St. Ann R.C. Church in Parsippany. For the countless many that were blessed to have been part of her life, Deanna's home was a sanctuary where all were welcome, lives were edified, hearts and minds were healed and faith, hope and love were always in abundance. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her, eternally. In addition to her devoted husband, Vito, she is survived by her loving daughter, Katherine Cascioli of Towaco; her loving adoptive son, Steven Vertun and his family of Southern California; her caring brother and sisters, Stephen Conklin and Jeanette Greenemier and her husband, Emar and their children, John and Chelsea; her dear brother-in-law, Michael Cascioli; & her cherished nieces, Theresa Cascioli and Stephanie Cooley. Deanna is also survived by her many Godchildren and countless friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Liturgy of Christian Burial to be offered on Saturday, March 21st 2009 at 9:30a.m. at St. Ann R.C. Church. 781 Smith Road, Parsippany. Interment: Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visiting hours are on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9p.m. at the Par-Troy Funeral Home. 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany. Vito and Katherine, I am so sorry for the loss of Deanna. Although I only knew her for a short while I was always amazed at how hard she worked and how she never lost hope and continued to strive for her goals. I feel privledged that I had an opportunity to work with her. God bless her and may she watch over you and all of her loved ones.

Diane will be missed by all who knew her. Growing up she was like a 2nd mother to me and to my sisters. We could always count on her to help us with anything. She truly did display unconditional love for all. My deepest sympathy to Vito and Katherine. Also, to Stephen Conklin - you were my friend and I am truly sorry for the loss of your sister. Diane will be greatly missed but will always be in my heart. To know her was to love her. She was always "there" for anyone and everyone. She was my lifeline. Dear sweet Diane, we will meet again.
