Lilian Manthey Obituary
(Murphy)
Irondequoit: Friday, July 11, 2008, at age 86. Predeceased by her husband, Harold E. Manthey; daughter, Andrea Sullivan; daughter-in-law, Margaret Murphy; and grandsons, Stephen Murphy Jr. and Michael Sullivan. Mrs Manthey is survived by her children, Stephen Murphy, Shaun (Joan) Murphy, and Rita (Steve) Spakowsky, as well as two sisters in England, Muriel (Ron) Cooke and Sabina Rookledge. She is also survived by grandchildren, Stephanie and Stacy Spakowsky, Christine (Gene) Humphries, Barbara York, Denise (Matthew) Gionta, Ben Murphy, Meghan Murphy and Angela Sullivan, as well as several great-grandchildren. Lilian was a retiree of Rochester Telephone Co.
No prior calling. Her family would like to thank the wonderful, compassionate staff of Baird Nursing Home for taking such good care of her for the past, as well as the Visiting Nurse Hospice staff. Her memorial service will be held privately. Those wishing may make a donation to the Visiting Nurse Service or Baird Nursing Home in her memory.

To my beautiful Grandma,
I will miss your smile, your laughter and that wonderful British accent. I will take with me so many happy memories and will cherish them always. I am honored to have had you as my grandma and to have known such a wonderful person all my life. I am comforted to know you will be, once again, in the company of Harold your husband, Andrea your daughter, Stephen (my sweet brother) and Mikey your grandsons and Margaret (my wonderful mother and best friend) your daughter-in-law. I know you are all in peace and hope that those that loved you here on Earth will find peace in your passing. I love you grandma!
