Beloved wife of Frank; dear mother of Linda (John) Brown, Cynthia (Hermond) Brookins, Terry (Rhondalyn) Richards , Lavonne (Christine) Richards, Sr.; also survived by brothers and sisters, Rev. John Brown, Helen Roberts, Calvin (Viola) Brown, Franklin (Bernice) Brown, Eddie Brown, Marget (Scott) Longdue. Mother Richards was a life-long member of St. John's M.B. Church and also a member of Queen of Sheba Lodge #13, Int. Free & Accepted Modern Masons and Order the of Eastern Star.
Calling hours Sunday from 6-9 PM at St. John's M.B. Church, 37 Edwards St., where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11 AM. Eastern Star Service Sunday 7 PM, Rev. A.R. Crittenden, Pastor, Officiating.

The family of Rev. Jimmie Thomas wishes to express out deepest condolences to the Richards family. May God grant you peace and serenity in the loss of your loved one. May you rejoice in the peace Mother Richards now has. She is gone to be with the one above and her bright light will forever shine on her family and all of the people who have been touched by knowing her and her children. My condolences to Frank and his family upon Pernell's death. Having been neighbors for more than 20 years, I remember fondly the waves of "Hello" from Frank's truck; the boisterous and heartwarming family gatherings that often spill over into the park; the honor of Pernell's and Frank's sympanthies when Clyde died,. Clyde always spoke respectfully and admirably about both Frank and "his Mrs." Though Clyde might not have remembered names, he was an excellent judge of character and appreciated our neighbors for the good people who they are. I never expect to lose neighbors and friends but am glad that I can still share solace with those who remain. May your memories keep you warm and Pernell close at heart.
