Mark Ahern Obituary
Livonia: August 8, 2008 at age 46 years. Survived by his wife, Wanda; two sons, Benjamin Ahern and Ian Ahern, both at home; his parents Douglas and Theodosia Ahern of Penfield; brothers, Mitch (Sara Bennett) of Swampscott, MA and Chris (Tara) Ahern of Los Angeles, CA; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call Sunday 4-8 PM and Monday 1-4 PM at The Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. Routes 15 and 20A Livonia. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 11 AM at the Livonia Presbyterian Church, Route 20A, Livonia Center. Burial, Union Cemetery, Livonia. Friends and family wishing may make memorial contributions to an Educational Trust Fund for Mark's sons at Five Star Bank, c/o John Haugh PO Box 579 Lakeville, NY 14480. I'm so sad for Mark's family, for Doug, Teddy, Chris, Mitch, Sarah, Tav, Caroline and all those who knew and loved Mark. He's forever frozen in my mind as around 25 years old, when I first met him, his parents and brothers and enjoyed watching the brotherly teasing that went on among Chris, Mitch and Mark.

Cancer is tough to battle and he put up a long courageous fight with the rest of his family by his side. I know this is quite a loss to you all and wish you all the best in the coming months and years with your grief.
