Chirico, Philip
Ocala, FL: Formerly of Gates on Wednesday, August 6, 2008, at age 87. Predeceased by his brothers, Martin and Thomas Chirico; sister, Domenica Pannoni; son-in-law, Larry Miller. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Catherine M. (Hogan) Chirico; children, Donna Miller, Debra (Gary) Sensenbach of FL, Philip M. Chirico; grandchildren, Patrick and Michael Miller, Wendy (Tim) Czapeczka; great grandchildren, Kyle and Elexus; brother, Joseph Chirico of AZ; sisters-in-law, Rita Kress, Sally Hogan; special niece, Dorothy Maceachern; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Chirico was a retired letter carrier for the US Postal Service and an Army Veteran of WWII where he was a top turret gunner on a B17 for the 94th Bomb Group 331 Squadron and was held as a Prisoner of War.
Friends may call MONDAY from 4-8PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Tuesday morning, August 12, friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 9:30 in St. Theodore's Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Munroe Foundation, PO Box 4349, Ocala, FL 34478 in his memory.
