Marjorie Carrier-Merkel Obituary
Hudson, Ohio: Marjorie Merkel-Carrier died on July 31, 2008. She was born on July 29, 1935 in Rochester, New York. She was a graduate of Mercy High School and Nazareth College. Marjorie was the daughter of Edwin A. Merkel, Sr. and Marjorie Cooke Merkel, both of whom predeceased her. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Mary Rita Merkel and Gloria Merkel Bennett.
Marjorie was survived by her husband, Edward L. Carrier of Hudson, Ohio, and two sons, John Edward Carrier and wife Sue and three children of Friday Harbor, Washington, and Christopher McMillian Carrier and wife Amy and two children of Austin, Texas. Marjorie was also survived by five brothers, Edwin A. Merkel, Jr. and wife Marcia, Victor E. Merkel and wife Ann, Nelson A. Merkel, John J. Merkel, and David A. Merkel and wife Joan. She was also survived by thirteen nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated in Hudson, Ohio.
