Brighton: August 30, 2008, age 86. Survived by his wife of 63 years, the love of his life-- his most beautiful girl, Marjorie; children, James (Jane), Kathleen (Alan) Hanford, Thomas (Sandi Sarradet), Mary Ellen (Carl Leonard), Brian (Janet Algase); grandchildren, Robert and Ted O'Connor, Juliana and Chris Hanford, Jonathan Murphy and Sean O'Connor, Linnane (Jeff) Armstrong, Forrest Leonard, Lucas and Caitlin O'Connor; sisters, Eileen Nagan, Marian O'Connor, Peg Wick, Floss (Jack) Roberts; sister-in-law, Kay O'Connor; and many nieces and nephews.
Born in Kaukauna, Wisconsin, September 15, 1921. He joined the Navy during World War II, during which he met Marjorie. His career was in sales, but his true avocation was giving to the community as a volunteer with the Boy Scouts, his church, Strong Hospital Pediatrics, and as a teacher's assistant at Council Rock School's 1st and 2nd grades. He will always be remembered for his generous spirit, Irish wit, and love of family.
The family wishes to thank all of the nurses and aides from Lifetime Care (Hospice) and Traditions, who cared for him during his illness, especially Tina Gregoire and Robbyn Williams.
