To the Gallop Family:
There are many memories to be shared by anyone who was in contact with a man such as Mr. Gallop. He was very well loved and respected. Anyone who has ever been in his presence or had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Gallop, went away with something that they would carry with them for the rest of their lives. I was blessed with the opportunity to share many days and stories with Mr. Gallop and have taken them with me and shared them with my children, those pearls of wisdom that he shared with so many of us.
He will definately be missed. He touched so many of our lives, its just impossible to believe that he is gone, but we all know God knows best and he takes only the good ones.
I just want to thank Mr. Gallop for his leadership, instruction and help all along my entire life and I am a better person because of him. I know he is in heaven with his lovely wife and will always have a place in my heart for the wonderful memories.

Gerda, Dierdre and Courtney,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Mr. Gallop. He is integrated into the hearts, minds and spirit of the Rochester community. His zeal for life, his comical genius, and his love for his friends and loved ones will be sorely missed.
I have very fond memories of him visiting my classrooms at Jefferson Middle school and Dr. Freddie Thomas Learning Center respectively when I taught in the Rochester City School District. He always told my students to call him "Uncle Bill". When he wasn't there the day following his visits, my students would ask, "Where is Uncle Bill?" He always brought inspiring words and gave voice to my hurting students.
An educator par excellent, a husband, father, and provider, I salute the man of God and know his reward is with Christ Incarnate.
Blessings and peace to you in this journey. Live...love...laugh. He left a legacy for all of us demonstrating those very things.
In Him I live,
DARLENE PERRY

Mr. Gallop was my physical education teacher back in the 1960's at #29 school here in the city of Rochester, NY. He and my family became very close. May God grant you peace and comfort at this difficult time.

Remember
Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.
