Clifford Sertl Obituary
Pittsford: September 8, 2008, peacefully at home. Loving husband, father, grandfather, he is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Marguerite (Hack) Sertl; sons, Mark (Cory), Kurt (Sandra), Eric (Jennifer); daughter, Beth (Mark) Patterson; grandchildren, Katja & Nicholas, Maxim & Gunnar, Sienna, Hannah & Griffin Sertl, Alex, Bridgit & Karl Patterson.
Cliff was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and a graduate of the University of Rochester (MBA). After a 20-year career at Xerox Cliff formed Sermar Management, a commercial real estate investment and management company. He was an avid sailboat racer (Rochester Yacht Club), skier and was actively involved in his family's activities.
Friends may call Wednesday, 3-7 PM at the funeral chapel (2305 Monroe Ave.). A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, 10 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 20 Mendon-Ionia Rd., Mendon. Interment at White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Cliff may be directed to School of the Holy Childhood, 100 Groton Parkway, Rochester NY 14623 or to Daystar, 47 Lochnavar Parkway, Pittsford NY 14534.

I was so sad to hear of Clifford's passing. He was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed. I'm so glad that he was able to make the trip up here for fishing. I'll miss his stories and jokes. My deepest sympathy goes out to all of his family.
