I dont' know where to start. I met Laura in my teens, when she would come to visit her grandmother in the Boulevard Gardens. We became good friends and we would visit each other from time to time. I have been trying to locate her for such a long and when I came across a page in Facebook, my heart broke. I always wanted to find out what became of her and was so upset to find out I missed connecting with her only by a few months. Even though it has been over 30 years since I have communication, I feel like I have lost a best friend.

Bill and Benji~
I'm so sorry to hear that Laura passed away. She was a great neighbor and friend. If anybody could beat cancer, she could, but God had other plans for Laura. She took the time to explain to me about gardening (one of her passions). Her wisdom lives on and I will think of her everytime I dig in the garden. She will be greatly missed, but I know she is up in heaven with Brandy and they are having a great time!

We were saddened to hear that Laura passed away recently. We knew Laura from NTID/RIT college years. She was a kind, caring and fun-spirited person. She will be missed by all who knew her and her smile/laughter. We had the privilege to have seen Laura & Bill at the NTID 40th reunion (June 28th evening) when they came as a surprise visit in spite of her illness. Thought that was very brave of her to come & see her friends again after so many years. May God give Bill and the family comfort as they grieve on the loss of their loved one. We shall meet again in heaven some day and see her smile and laughter again. God Bless Laura.

I am saddened to know of her passing, but the memory lasts a lifetime. She was fun person to know and she lights up the room at every event or gathering. She was a lovely person and a great person to know. I lost track of some friends. I was in Rochester for first time in over 30 years. I wish I had the opportunity to see her again. She is now laughing at the other side.

We will join her someday and party more!

Take care! =)

I remember meeting Laura for the first time during the summer of 1972 at NTID-RIT. We both found out that we have the same birthday! Same month, same day, just different years. We became fast friends immediately. She was a true loyal friend to me. I will always cherish our time together. We laughed so much till our sides hurt. She matured to a wonderful woman. Every time we bumped to each other, we hugged and kept up with other. She always has a smile on her face and you can’t help but smile with her. I will truly miss her. Goodbye Laura for now and we will meet again. Love, Jim

Laura had lived an amazing life even though she had not grown to ripe old age. Laura was a great friend. We met at NTID in Rochester, NY in 1972. We were roommates and had many fun times together. We have had our share of ups and downs together. She was one of the bridesmaids in my wedding in 1978. We used jokily call each other “crazy ex-roommates” when we signed the cards/letters. As I am typing this, there is her funeral going on right now. I wish I could be there as my circumstances will not make this possible. I am there in my heart and thoughts. Laura’s death was unexpected. I didn’t have a chance to visit with her as I planned do in the near future. I will be grateful for spending a part of my life with a friend like her. All the memories I have shared with her will be cherished. Let’s all think back and remember how Laura touched our lives. How she made us laugh and how good Laura was as a person. This is not the moment to shed out tears but we should be thankful that we were given the chance to have known a woman named Laura. She will forever be missed but I know in the right time, I will meet her again. Her crazy ex-roommate, Martha Holm

I have some wonderful memories of Laura from when she was the best friend and roommate of my dear Sis Martha Holm at NTID-RIT while we were all students there. Then every once in a great while our paths would cross while working for our great Xerox Corp. My time with her was short but yet very impacting.
She will surely be missed. I offer my most sincere condolences to her surviving family and friends.
Am also a former resident of Pittsford, NY.
