Wendell Leake Obituary
Rochester: Passed away Tuesday September 9, 2008 at age 91. He is predeceased by his wife, Emma and brother, Grant. Survived by 2 sons, Duane R. (Brenda) and Dale A.; grandchildren, Shana Klopp, Sarah Bloom; great-granddaughter, Morgan; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday, September 12th from 4-7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd., where Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 10 A.M. Interment White Haven Memorial Park. To share a memory please visit

Dale and Duane - I have very happy memories of both your parents - especially when we used to skate together as Kodaskaters (remember Duane - you skated with me!) I worked with Wendell for 10 years - he was a wonderful person. Your Mom and I used to swap recipes.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of Wendell"s family. Your father was a very special and wonderful man. We had alot of laughs and good times at Seabury Woods when he was there. He will be greatly missed.

Dale and Duane,
My heartfelt sympathy to both of you. The last I saw Wendell was in May when I was in Rochester. He looked so frail, but we were able to have a few words with each other. He was always a very special friend, and a very kind gentleman. We always had fun on our camping trips and our 2 dozen club events. Please send me your addresses so I can send each of you a card. He will now be with the love of his life, Emma. He was so lost without her. My love and prayers to both of you.
